The Wrong Question
When we face difficulties or trials in life, we often find ourselves asking questions. But all too often, the questions we ask are not the right questions.
Able to Keep
There are often things God calls us to entrust to His care and keeping. But with that call comes a promise.
Is God Still Good When Things Go Wrong?
It is easy to believe in God’s goodness when it matches our definition of what is good, but what about when things go wrong? When we find ourselves suffering for what seems like no good reason, can we trust His goodness still? Job and Jeremiah give us the answer.

Has God ever answered your prayer with a “no”? I was recently reminded just how merciful God’s answers to prayer are—especially when His answer is no.
Hope and Quietly Wait
Waiting isn’t easy. But as I wait on the Lord’s guidance for a particular detail, I am learning again how to wait.
Justice or Vengeance?
In reading through the book of 1 Samuel this week, I was struck by David’s response when circumstances seemed perfect for him to take revenge on the man who had literally been trying to kill him.
No Shadow of Turning
James 1:17 is my go-to verse when times are good, but what about when trials come? Can we still rest in the Father of Lights from whom all good gifts come when we can’t see His hand of goodness?
