Putting it into Practice
In the past few posts, this series has addressed the importance God places on being quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to wrath, but how is all that to be accomplished? It all comes down to the grace of God.

The First Step Down the Path of Disobedience
As a Christian, I want to serve God. I want to walk with Him down the path of obedience and blessing, but sometimes I find myself far down the wrong path. Where does it all begin?

Service and Sacrifice
When serving the Lord is a way of life, we can easily forget the one thing that transforms service into a sacrificial act of love to God.

The Big Picture
It is easy to think that sharing the gospel is just up to us: that whether or not someone hears and responds to the gospel is dependent upon whether or not we have an opportunity to witness to them. It is important that we be faithful to share the gospel with others, but are we looking at witnessing opportunities from God’s point of view?

That Which is Least
It seems like the most natural thing in springtime to begin to coast along, enjoying the sun when it shines and putting off all our to-dos until the last possible moment. But Scripture reminds us that we are called to be faithful.

To Be Content
Can we ever be “perfectly happy?” In Philippians 4 we are given a glimpse into the lessons of contentment learned by one of the very first missionaries.

Choosing the Path of Blessing
It is easy to read the book of Ruth and skim over the first chapter, but that is where the real turning point of Ruth’s life occurs.

Denying Self
Self-denial runs counter to our culture and our natural desires, but it is a foundational part of Christianity that makes even the smallest point of decision an opportunity to win a spiritual victory.

Rest Through Obedience
Sin brings strife: between us and God, and between us and those around us. But there is a way to rest with God. In the book of Genesis, Noah shows us how rest comes through obedience.
