Right Beside Me
We all have people we look up to, godly people who have mentored us and discipled us. But as Elisha found out, we cannot keep our “Elijahs” in our lives forever. What happens when we find ourselves facing life without a beloved mentor?

Be Still
We live such busy lives, time with God can end up a rushed recital of a list of things we want. We might remember to praise God for something, or thank Him for the answers He will give, but so often we forget to just be still before Him.

She That Believed
We live in a world of uncertainty. But God doesn’t want us to be paralyzed by fear or doubt or worry. He wants us instead to fix our eyes, our hearts, and our minds on the only Certainty there is: His faithfulness.

To Be Content
Can we ever be “perfectly happy?” In Philippians 4 we are given a glimpse into the lessons of contentment learned by one of the very first missionaries.

Blessed are Ye
This final beatitude brings the truths home, emphasizing the fact that these blessings can be yours and mine!

Persecuted
“Blessed are the persecuted”… that seems such a contradiction, but Christ said it, and it is true. How can the persecuted Christian be described as blessed, or happy?

Rejoicing Mourner or Pouting Prophet?
Mourning is part of the Christian life. So how do we balance mourning with the abundance of joy in Christ?

They that Mourn
Jesus said, “Blessed are they that mourn”, but how can that be? What are we to mourn over?

Keeping Focused in Troubling Times
We live in troubling times, there’s no doubt about that. It is crucial that we keep our focus on God and what He says is true about our circumstances.
